Universal Beijing Resort will gradually resume operations with restricted capacity starting from June 25

After communicating with relevant authorities and implementing a full risk assessment and risk management measures, Universal Beijing Resort will gradually resume operations in stages through strictly controlling guest flow and strengthening pandemic prevention and control measures. The Universal Studios Grand Hotel and Universal CityWalk Beijing will open to guests at noon on June 24; Universal Studios Beijing will reopen on June 25; and NUO Resort Hotel will reopen on July 1. In the early stages of resuming operations, some venues or entertainment experiences will remain closed temporarily and will reopen at proper time according to the pandemic prevention and control situation and related requirements.

In the early stages of resuming operations, Universal Beijing Resort will strictly adhere to the government’s requirement to operate at limited capacity and adjust operational hours in accordance with current pandemic prevention and control requirements. Specific arrangements are as follows:

  • Universal Studios Beijing will operate from 10am to 7pm. A majority of rides in Universal Studios Beijing will resume operations. Certain experiences, shows and restaurants will reopen gradually in due course.
  • Universal CityWalk Beijing will open from 12pm to 9pm on June 24, the first day of resuming operations. Regular opening hours will be from 8am to 9pm, and we’ll extend operations during the weekend. Some restaurants may not be available in the early stage.
  • The Universal Studios Grand Hotel and NUO Resort Hotel will reopen at 12pm on June 24 and July 1 respectively, with the majority of dining services resume operation.

The opening hours are subject to actual operations according to the pandemic control situation and related requirements. Offerings and experiences may also be adjusted. Guest can refer to the Universal Beijing Resort official App, Alibaba Mini Program, or WeChat Mini Program for the latest update.

Strengthen the implementation of multiple pandemic prevention and control measures, ensuring health and safety

The health and safety of our guests and Team Members is always our top priority. Upon reopening, Universal Beijing Resort will follow the latest government guidance to continue reinforcing a series of pandemic prevention and control measures.

We’ll continue to carry out mandatory NATs and daily health screening for our Team Members and third-party employees. At present, all on-site staff meet the requirements for returning to work. At the same time, we will maintain regular testing of environmental samples, thorough disinfection and sterilization on a daily basis, and provide convenient disinfection and sterilization facilities for our guests.

To ensure the health and safety of our guests, we would like to remind our guests to follow below pandemic prevention and control guidelines:

  • All guests are required to provide a 72-hour negative NAT test result, present their Health Kit and personal ID, as well as comply with a quick temperature check before entering the park.
  • All guests are required to make a reservation on the Universal Beijing Resort Official App, Alibaba Mini Program or Wechat Mini Program in advance and provide a valid park reservation QR code before entering the park.
  • When entering entertainment, dining and shopping venues, please follow the instructions of our on-site Team Members, scan the Health Kit QR code at the entrance and disinfect your hands before entering.
  • Please strictly follow pandemic prevention guidelines when visiting the park. Except when dining, all guests are required to wear masks correctly. All the guests should maintain the safe social distancing while queuing or dining, wash hands and disinfect frequently, take other personal protection measures, and follow the guidance of our on-site Team Members.

In the early stages of resuming operations, Universal Studios Beijing tickets and hotel products will be available for sales at limited capacity

Starting from 00:00 on June 23rd, Universal Studios Beijing tickets and hotel products will be relaunched for pre-sale at limited capacity. Guests can make purchases and reservations through the Universal Beijing Resort Official App, Alibaba Mini Program, WeChat Mini Program, the Universal Beijing Resort Fliggy Flagship Store, JingDong Flagship Store, or other officially authorized partners of tourism channels. For guests holding a valid Universal Studios Beijing Winter and Spring Leisure Pass and other non-dated ticket products as of May 1st, 2022 (inclusive), the validity period will be extended automatically. The updated expiry date will be available to view on the original purchase channels after the resort resumes operations. Further information about the new Leisure Pass will be provided through our Universal Beijing Resort’s official Weibo and WeChat account shortly.
