Beijing, November 12 –– Universal Beijing Resort has announced the appointment of Dorian Rommel as the Managing Director of Hotel Management Branch. In this new pioneering role, Dorian will oversee the Hotel Management Branch with strategic leadership of the pre-opening and day-to-day operation for the two onsite hotels of Universal Beijing Resort- The Universal Studios Grand Hotel and NUO Resort Hotel – Universal Beijing Resort, both represent new hotel concepts with incredibly immersive experiences that blend unique stylish designs and historic and cultural features at Universal Beijing Resort.

With 25 years of luxury hospitality experience in the gateway cities of China, the United States of America, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Singapore, Dorian is a truly passionate hotelier with a proven track record in delivering service excellence and creating authentic experiences in some of the world’s most recognized brands including Waldorf Astoria, Four Seasons, St. Regis, Kempinski, and Shangri-La. Prior to this new role, Dorian was at the helm of the pre and post-opening of the legendary heritage landmark estate Capella Shanghai, Jian Ye Li as the General Manager.

After beginning his academic pursuits at the Hotel School Monaco, Dorian has since enriched his hospitality training at Cornell University and an Executive MBA from Reims Management School.
